Hello All,

I want to integrate Cognos 8  with MS SharePoint.
Can anyone tell me how to integrate Cognos 8 and Sharepoint with
Cognos on Access Manager authentication?

Thanks
Preethi

Preethi,

You'll have to look through your admin guide for specific details, but on a high level, you'll need to copy and paste the SharePoint folder from your Cognos 8 installation director to your SharePoint directory and then change your sharepoint config file to recognize this new directory.  Once that is complete, your can choice Cognos portlets to add to any SharePoint page and begin customizing the content of those portlets.  If you need any help, feel free to email me: dadkison@brightstarpartners.com

Is integration with sharepoint available in all Cognos 8 point releases? i.e. 8.1 onwards?

DustPanMan

SSP,

I believe it may have started being available at version 8v2.  I am not certain on this, however.

Hi there,

Here is a document from the Proven Practices Site
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/cognos/page253.html

However, you've also mentioned Access Manager in the same sentence which is Series 7 via SunOne.  SSO for Series 7 is NTLM by providing the Operating System signon and then per user, adding the signon <domain\account>.

Siteminder with manage either but just wanted to check.
Just a heads up
