Adding 'Conditional Prompts' to existing report

We have a report that was developed for us that has several prompts.  I wanted clean up the prompt page by only showing the possible options as the user makes selections on the prompts.  As of right now, the user can see all of the prompts, even some that aren't needed unless a particular selection is made.

We have Year/Period drop downs and a 'Group' radio list that are the 'meat' of the prompt page.  However, we have other prompts as that are only important if a certain selection is made in the 'Major Group' list.  I only want these the Year/Period/Group prompts initially.  However, once a selection is made on all 3 prompts, I want a new set of prompts to populate based on what was selected in the 'Group'.

For example, if option 1 is selected I need a 'search' prompt but if option 2 is selected I need a picklist that populates based on option 2.

I've tried playing with adding variables and conditional blocks but I'm either doing something wrong or it's not possible with the current layout.   Any advice is appreciated.

You can do it either way. Using Conditional Block or Render Variable. You may also consider using style variable and just show/hide your Search or Pick List prompt based on your Input parameter.

Could you please explain what's going wrong or if any specific error you are getting?
