Matching chart colors

I have each chart property set to 'Matched', but there are still some situations where the colors vary from chart to chart for the same series field.

I have a stacked bar graph, pie and an area line graph. The bar graph and pie match, but the area line chart (which also contains another metric; time) does not always match the preceding chart colors for the same series field. Is this because area line chart has a secondary metric (i.e. time) or am i doing something wrong?

Yeah, the additional metrics should be the cause. However you may try defining the series color for the Area Line chart as per Bar & Pie?

Select the Area Line chart, in Properties you would see an option 'Palette'. Click and can sequence wise define the color how u want to see.

Hey Prit. Thanks for the reply. I double checked the Palette and sure enough all are set to the same palette, sequence-wise. I thought about hard coding a palette, but noticed that the legend colors at that point don't match the hard coded colors. Seems like  an oversight!

Can you remove the additional metric and see if all these 3 reports series color is matching to ensure if that is the culprit :)

Here is an example of what is happening for some of the bursted reports. You notice that firstly, its reusing the same color even though the palette has many colors selected. Secondly, the colors that should be matched across charts, are at times not being matched.  Am i missing something??

Thanks!
