appending excel sheets to tm1 cube??

i have one doubt in our project we need to build BI on direct excel sheets... by using tm1 we can do ETL functonality .. and here we have gb's of data in excel sheets now the challenge is we need to do ETL process on excel sheets using TI but the data in gb's many excel sheets and is it possible append data even after doing etl using TI?? suppose we create cube using one excel sheet and my same parameters in excel sheets are updating monthly in other excel sheets and in all branches and is it possible to append 2011 excel sheet to 2010 excel sheet having same parameters and addition of 2 or 3 extra parameters?? or can we create seperate cubes to 2 excel sheets for 2 years and give relation between 2 cubes?? and generate reports on those 2 cubes using cognos 8.4??
