Report Studio / Customization of Report

Hi ,
I'm very new to cognos.
I'm trying to customize the report, generated through report studio by using cognos SDK.I've installed both the cognos & SDK.
I've made some changes in the RunReport.java file and compiled.
Steps followed :
1.Changes in java file(random sys.out)
2.run build_samples.bat & also build.bat in the respective java Sample.
3.Restarted  the server
4.Checked the congserver.log 

The changes are not reflecting in the generated report.

What else i need to do,to make the changes reflect in the report..?
