Difference Bursting and Report Views

What is the difference between Bursting report and creating report views?

Bursting is the action of creating output that is specific to the identified participants in the receipt of the output.  For example...

You have a Sales report that shows the Regional breakdown of Product Sales Revenue by Territories within a Region.  It is desired that the Manager of each Region receive this report, but only showing the Data for their Region.

You would set up a Burst query that lists each Manager and their Region, then associate that query in the Burst setup of the report so that it is related appropriately, so that the output is broken up into individual outputs at each burst point, in this case, Region.

A Report View is simply a view of a Report, that may contain save Output settings, input parameters, etc... that a consumer may use regularly, so as not to have to answer prompts each time it is executed, nor to set the output options each time.

There is really no similarity between their uses.
