Hi,

Not sure whether I should post it in this section or Report Studio section hence once again posting the same here. Please look into this http://www.cognoise.com/community/index.php/topic,13747.0.html and let me know if any resolution of it.

Hi Shirish,

This is likely a permission issue to do with a combination of credentials and role membership
If you logon as a system administrator, do you see the same number of objects?

It almost looks like you have an Express version or Report Studio.

Hi Peter,

There is no security implemented in Cognos and logged in to WIN 2003 Server using 'Administrator' credentials. Rather I can see icons when I log in with other users.

I am using Report Studio 8.4.1 version.

have visited following URLs but no use:

Just for curiosity, I have browsed 'cognos8' virtual directory and open Report studio through it then I can see all the Objects.  :-\

It seems that it is IE 6.0 issue but no idea how I can fix this?

Hi Shirish,

Thats interesting.  We use IE6, and IE7 but I haven't seen this issue before.  In our environment, most of the IE settings have been locked down.
I guess as a test you could lower all your security in IE 6 to see if these objects do display.  I know that IBM Cognos dont actually provide a great deal of information on each option within IE that could affect an end user appart from SSO and Active X.

I'd have a look at a utility called Fiddler www.fiddler2.com, to diagbose the issue or if you are luck enough to have a friend or user on IE6 that doesn't have the issue you could compare settings.

Sorry not much help there
Cheers
