I am creating a Dashboard using page,My dashboard look like the following :

There is a search area on the top to store the global parameter .
User can select the parameter and it will pass the parameter to the rest of the portal.

However , In the page layout ,i can only select between this 3

So at this moment ,i can only create the dashboard like

Portal 2 and Portal 3 are grouped
Portal 4 and Portal 5 are grouped

Is there any possible way to separated them to maintain the layout without affect the function.

I have tried to add a new page to separated Portal 2 and Portal 3 and then add it back to another page .
It work in layout ,But the portal can't communicate with each other . Help !

I don't think that there will be a direct solution for your problem. As you mentioned, you can do it using pages but you will have a problem in Portal Communications.

I have another solution but I don't know if it will be applicable in your case. You can create your Dashboard in Report Studio in a single report by using a table object to format the Dashboard the way you want. Then you can create a page and add a viewer in it. The Viewer should point to the report you have created.

Is this applicable for you? If not tell me we can think of something else ..

The original version of my dashboard is using table object to build .
However, because of some performance issue and better reuse of the search area ,we started to change by using portal.

Now , the problem is solved .
I found that ,portal can communicate by using channel.
