What happens when two or more rules target the same cell in TM1?

I have searched but not found the answer to this basic question; what happens if two (or more) rules target the same cell? Which rule will have priority over the other?

TM1 will evaluate the rules from top to bottom. The formula of the first area in the rulessheet that matches the calculation area will be executed. All following rules on the same area are ignored - except when the executed rule resolves to a Continue statement, in which case the rules engine will look further for another rule for the same area.
