Cognos 8.4, file location for package's framework

Is there a way to find the file location of the framework that a package was published from? (i know, bad grammar, but 'from which' sounds so odd  ;D )   Maybe in the adminstrative features or in the content store database itself?

i've found that we have a couple of copies of the same framework with the same package names, and apparently this specific package that is published is not coming from what should be the "good" copy of the framework file  :(

I'd like to find the source of the package that is actually published so i can determine if those differences in the framework need to be incorporated into the good copy and see what (if anything) will break when i re-publish the good one.

I've not been able to find this in ReportNet in the past, i was hoping that Cognos 8.4 had a way to do it.

Thanks in advance for any help (and yes, i know we have to keep this from happening again  ;) )

Hi,

As far as I'm aware, there is no metadata stored in a package which specifically identifies which FM project it was published from.  When you view the package in a studio, are there any giveaways, such as items that exist in one FM project but not the other?  Are the underlying modelled structures the same in the two FM projects?  If not, you could use the Lineage feature from a studio to view the structure of how an item has been extracted/modelled, and match it back to the relevant FM project that way.

Just a thought.
