Hello,

Has anyone seen this before? And do you know how to correct it?  I run a particular report in Impromptu monthly, and I have done so successfully for several months. Suddenly, I do not retrieve data anymore.  The structure of my report has not changed.  I have figured out which field is causing the breakdown in the report, however, it is a critical field.  Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.  ???

Thank you,
Brian

Check the filters .
If it s a monthly report ,  you must of some filters on.

THen as the year changed, it could be that you have a 2005 defined somewhere .....

And also pls keep updating about the issue.

Hi All,

I figured out what the problem was.

We have 2 drives on our server.  One drive houses all of our programs and is much smaller than the other drive (the data drive).  Temporary report/data files that are created by Impromptu when a report is run were stored in our smaller drive and it was running out of space.  This caused Impromptu to produce empty reports and explains why the cube could not be built.

Solution: I deleted the Cognos temp files on the smaller drive and the report/cube ran correctly.  Also, I changed the Impromptu temporary file directory to point to the larger data drive and I should never run into this problem again, hopefully.

Lesson learned:  Check your drives for space and clean out your temp files every so often :)

Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
Brian
