Hello Cognos Guru's,

I am facing one problem in my list report. Which is

X Col                   A Column   B Column        Acolumn /B column %XY
                            14.50         13.30        109.02%
XYZ                       18.16        27.90         65.10%
XYZA                       3.74       12.40           30.14%
Summary                  36.40          53.60           204.26%
I have a report as showned in above . The % ge calculation of the third column is wrong. Third column summary level calculation should be ((36.40/53.60)*100). Here I need to use first two columns total values to calculate the %ge of third column summary value. Third column should display 67.91%

If I do this am getting a strange value. Please let me know if there is any way of doing this in list report.

I have so many columns in this report  and I need to use only summary values to calculate the other value.

Hope you guys will understand my requirement. Please let me know incase of any clarification on this post.

Sanjeev

The 204.26 is calculated by finding the total of the three columns.

Cognos is calculating column C, then finding the total. Changing the solve order of the field should fix it. Set the solve order high enough so Cognos knows to calculate C after it calculates everything for A and B.

Hi,

Please try this
1) Take all three columns
2) CTRL Click on first two columns and then click total button from the standard tool bar.
3) Then u will see one blank space for 3rd column total.
4) Go to the main report query and take a calculated data item in that put ur expression.
5) Drag this data item into the black summary space in the 3rd data item.

Try this once...........
