Conditional prompt that uses different queries v8.3

Hello,
I would like to create a report with a value prompt/static choices then create conditional blocks on the report page.  When the user selects a value from the prompt, I would like for it to use a separate query for each block.  I have not been able to get this to work, it seems that conditional formatting will onlly work with one query and you can display the query different ways on the page, but not open different queries for each condition.

Is it possible to do this some other way in RS?  I really do not want to create 8 different reports simply..each query will use the 'same' main query, but have different filtering and conditional highlighting on different ranges...

Thanks!

Hi

I don't think you can get a conditional prompt to use different queries as you said it will only use one query.

What you may be able to do is use the value from your prompt as a render variable.  That would mean having all the different queries on the page and having a render variable for each query based on the value of your prompt.

That should display the correct query for the value in the prompt.

Let me know if you need any more details.
